On World Biodiversity Day, discover how Mystic Cruises combines technology, sustainability and responsibility to protect the ecosystems that make every journey possible.
Mystic Cruises, part of the MysticInvest Holding group, is proud to be a participant of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest voluntary initiative promoting ethical, sustainable, and responsible business practices in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.
The United Nations Global Compact was launched in 2000 by then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, with the goal of integrating Ten fundamental Principles into companies’ strategies and operations, ensuring ethical and sustainable practices. Since 2015, the Global Compact has also supported the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda.
For Mystic Cruises, this commitment is especially meaningful in our ocean expeditions, where we promote Human Rights, ensure fair and safe working conditions, protect the marine environment, and adopt strict integrity and anti-corruption policies. We apply these principles throughout every stage of our journeys – from vessel operations to interactions with local communities – ensuring that expedition tourism contributes to marine conservation and responsible development.
By joining the UN Global Compact, we reinforce our commitment to leading by example, offering ethical and sustainable travel experiences that create a positive impact on the planet, on the communities we visit, and on everyone involved in our operations.
As participants in this initiative, we invite you to visit our profile on the UN Global Compact website.
